hybris Marketing 1709: general marketing permission for all communication media

Dear Community,

is in hybris Marketing 1709 on-prem a general opt-in marketing permission available?

This permission should represent the customers consent to contact him by every communication medium (Email, Phone, Mobile, SMS/Text, FB, ...) even if the communication-ID (e.g. his Phone number) is provided after the customer gave his consent.

Is it possible to expand the MKT_PERM_OPTIN interaction so that the consent applies for all communication media (Email, Phone, Mobile, SMS/Text, FB, ...)? Or is for every communication media one MKT_PERM_OPTIN interaction needed?

    Dear Peter,

    Your business requirement conficts with explicit and implicit opt-in scenarios. If you give consent based on customer action, that means explicit scenario as you already pointed out. That inevitably leads you to create MKT_PERM_OPTIN interactions for every ID of every communication medium for that specific customer. Otherwise, automatic opt-in is only possible with implicit opt-in scenario.

    Hi Peter,

    I don't think that is possible; especially not "even if the communication ID e.g. phone number is provided after the consent". Because consents are stored in table CUAND_CE_MP_ROOT and the ID is also in that table. So you don't even give permission for "phone" but you give permission for phone for ONE specific number. You could have two phone numbers but only have given a permission on one of them.

    Hi Peter,

    From what I understand, you pretty much want to implement "implicit" marketing permissions for every communication channel. If this is the case, you can customize the system this way, so it automatically gives consent to customers for every communication channels. This is called implicit opt-in scenario.

      thank you for your replay.

      The consents for every communication channel should only be set, if the customer gave his explizit conset e.g. by interaction MKT_PERM_OPTIN. If customers do not give their consent, no opt-in to any communication channels should be set.
