Hey Guys

i m designing a mapping in XI for one of my business partner and am a little bit confused between E1EDK01 and E1EDP01 of ORDERS IDOC.

sometimes the business partner sends values in E1EDK01 and other times he sends under E1EDP01(due to which we get issues in mapping),i did check WE60 in R/3 but am unable to find a difference between the two fields

can you guys please tell me as per the business perspective whats the difference between E1EDK01 and E1EDP01,i mean under what condition we should get values in E1EDK01 or E1EDP01

Thanx

Saif

Hello Saif

Since you did not tell which segement fields confuse you it is difficult to give a specific answer.

Generally speaking the two mentioned segments have very litte in common:

- E1EDK01 (IDoc: Document header general data): contains general data like our VAT no. (EIGENUINR) and the customer VAT no (KUNDEUINR). Most important, this segement contains the purchase order number (BELNR) in case of inbound ORDERS IDocs.

- E1EDP01 (IDoc: Document Item General Data): here we have general data about the item like item number (POSEX) and, most importantly, the quantity (MENGE) and unit of measure (MENEE).

Hello in my idoc there's an error on MENEE (is not in ISO format).

There's a way to update it ??

tks,
