Planning by multiple users parallel

Can anyone let me know how to create a planning report where multiple users can plan parallel?

Hi,

Create two restricted key figure - KF1, KF2. KF1 restricted all records and not Input-ready and KF2 restricted records with authorization variable and Input-ready.

Create a button that will hide and display KF2.

Dear Ravi,

you have to choose characteristics, which will be different for different users and put them in the variables to be selected. In parallel you can't modify one and the same data, but you can write data into the same infocube/ADSO if you make it with different selection.

Thanks for the response.

Actually, my requirement is little peculiar.

The requirement is: we have a characteristic, Reporting user. So, Business wants to see all the data in the cube/ADSO for a month for all users but he should be able to plan only for those which he is a reporting user.

For Ex: if there are 10 records showing Target and Actual. Now, that if I'm the reporting user for records, 4 & 9 then in the report, it should display all the 10 records but if I click on unlock button, I should be able to plan only 4 & 9 records which I'm the reporting user for those.

In this way, business users will make parallel planning.

Please help if you have an idea or let me know if you couldn't understand my requirement.

Hi Ravi,

the need to define one or more characteristics, by which you want to divide the data between the different users (i.e. Cost center, Material Group ...)

Then use all of these characteristics as variables in the filter of your query AND as lock characteristic on your cube.

When users select not overlapping values for the defined characteristics when opening the planning application, they will be able to plan at the same time - but on different values.
