Hello,
I'm trying to set up SAP B1 2007 server after installing MS SQL 2005 . But the warning message "Unable to connect to database; verify that database TCP/IP port service is started" keeps occuring while installing the server.
I've already check TCP/IP in SQL Server Configuration Manager and done some other methods such as SQL Server Surface Area Configuration. But all didn't work..
Could you please help me with this problem?
Thanks

Wonuk, the interested reader is certainly keen on understanding why a software version should be installed that has been out of maintenance for 6 years? Maybe the community members are more likely to answer the question then.
About the mentioned error, it used to happen exceptionally on these old versions if there was a problem with the B1i (SAP Business One integration component). However, if B1i isn't required to be installed, you can ignore the error. This shouldn't affect the rest of the install. You can also install B1i later again.
