Custom Error messages problem in Background scheduling of SDBILLDL

Hi All,

I have done an enhancement using user exit 'USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE' in SAPLV60A. Enhancement is used to check the billing value of the billing document with the net value of the sales document. If the Billing document net value is more than certain percentage of the net value in sales order, system throws a message of type 'E'. This Enhancement works fine when we try to do billing in VF01 and VF04. But when we schedule the program SDBILLDL for multiple sales orders, this custom error message stops the whole background job raising exception 'Error Message' and doesn't let the subsequent documents to process. My requirement is when this custom error message is triggered, only that particular document need not to be processed or saved and subsequent documents to be processed and background job should not stop at this custom error message.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Jai.

Vinod,

ENH in USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE for a check on net value of Billing Document ?

Seems you are using a wrong exit.

Shouldn't this be done at the ITEM level...?

See if you can use a requirement (VOFM) routine instead of a user exit but overall this screams like a bad design to me, sorry.

I'd check with SD consultant on this. It seems like a very odd business process. There could be a different solution altogether.
