Hi,
Will it possible to create a query on a Multi Provider which have BPC Model (/CPMB/) and BW. If yes, how to assign the Account and Time as the Technical Names are different (in my case, members also changed while loading to BPC by using Transformation / Conversion files). And will it be possible to create a report like 'BPC Variance report'. If yes, pls share your inputs and Documents if any.
Thanks
Sekhar
Hi Hendry,
Thanks for your time.
When add them, it is only showing Key Figure for # which is the total for all Profit Centres but each Profit Centres. And moreover our BW guys are not accepting this way (Adding our BPC Objects) as Navigational Attribute. And we facing inconsistency when add BPC time to 0FISCPER.
BW guys suggesting that they will create a local query and the users has to compare them manually.bpc-bw-comparison.jpg which is not correct.
Request you to suggest someother way to achieve this.
Thanks

Sekhar,
One solution would be to maintain navigational attributes on each native infoobject in BW to match those of BPC's
e.g. 0GL_ACCOUNT to maintain ACCOUNT (technical name /CPMB/*) attibute.
As for time dimension, you will need to add TIME (technical name /CPMB/*) in the infocube and put some transformation logic.
You can then compare the data in BPC master data format.

Can you list all your BPC dimension? You have to transform all infoobject from BW to match with those of a BPC
And moreover our BW guys are not accepting this way (Adding our BPC Objects) as Navigational Attribute
If they don't want to add it as Navigational Attribute, then add it as a separate infoobject to the cube. Although I'm interested in knowing why they don't accept this
And we facing inconsistency when add BPC time to 0FISCPER
You have to make a separate infoobject TIME in your BW infocube. The same kind that is comparable to BPC. Otherwise it can never match 0FISCPER with TIME
The goal here is simple: you must have a comparable dimensions in both BPC and BW. Either BW has to add the dimension from BPC, or you have to transform data from BPC cube to BW native infoobject. I suggest the first because it would save you data loading
Hi Vadim,
Thank you for replying.
1. For eg., we are loading Master data from 0Account and technical name of it in BPC will start with /CPMB/. It is not possible to assign 0Account to our BPC Account ie., /CPMB/XXXXXX in a MultiProvider.
2. While loading to BPC, the members are also changed. For Eg., BW Account members are like '0000123456' but in BPC it is 123456. And Time in BW 0012018 but in BPC it is 1718.JAN.
So, we are getting the variance report as expected. I felt that creating BEx Report is easier than a EPM Report.
Request you to suggest the better way which will be helpful to complete this requirement.
Thanks
Sekhar

"as the Technical Names are different" ??? what do you mean? You can restrict changes of technical names.
"members also changed"?? changed? may be added?
