Hi

The batch management can be done in three ways.

1. Only at sales level.

2. Only at sales and production level.

3. Sales, Prodution and purchase level.

The batch no. is maintained at sales level to identify the flow of stocks to different customers.

If it is maintained at production level means the production is generally in batches.

If it is maintained at all levels means the raw materials procured are specific for specific batch production.
