Locking current Period from making changes in APO Demand Planning

Hello All,

We are trying to implement a new practice and need some input on the same.

Forecast will be sent to ECC every week for MRP. We would like to restrict the user from making changes to the forecast in the current week. This can be achieved by a macro by locking the current week.

Current default time bucket profile for the data view is in weekly for 2 years.

However when we switch the time bucket profile to a period view, the users are able to make changes and when split in the weekly level, the current week is being changed. So can we restrict the users by not being able to make changes to the current period when switched to a Period time bucket profile. Thanks.

To reiterate, users when in the weekly view must not be able to make changes to the current week and when switched to a period time bucket profile, current period should be locked.

( Alternatively, if we have something that would take the changes made at the period level and split it in the weeks - current week)

For example: If the weekly split is WK 1. 30, WK 2. 40, WK 3. 50, WK 4. 60 for a 4 week period, the total at the period level is 180. If the user now switches to period view and makes a change to 200, if we are in week 2 that means WK 1 is past; shouldn't be changed; week 2 is current; shouldn't be changed, WK 3 and WK 4 should get the additional 20 allocated between those two weeks.

If this is not possible, it is fine but we would appreciate all inputs. Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Rohit.
