What is the concept of tdcopies (output_options) in smartform?

How to use this parameter to generate multiple copies from smartform?? What other parameters needs to be used to make it work?

I am using tdcopies in my program as tdcopies = material quantites. But somehow it is not working. I am using printer from output type or else printer assigned to user in table USR05.

Google -> "smartform multiple copies" finds this wiki page, among many other posts: https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=156697537

It shows that there are also settings for the device type. If after reading the wiki you're still experiencing some difficulties then please post the relevant code, device type configuration, and explain in more detail what is the issue exactly.
