Crystal Report size change dramatically when a logo is added

Hi everyone,

I'm running CR 11.5.10.12.63 and when I add a 35KB BITMAP Logo and saved it, it changed a 113KB Crystal report form for to 3.8MB.

I can't resize the logo anymore. Any help, please

Allan has great info.... We can't compress the image in the report so it's saved as is so size does matter... lol

Where is the logo placed, what section?

If the report has saved data then it will create a container for each time the image is placed.

Crystal Reports will convert images to BMP format so it is always best to use a BMP to begin with.

The higher resolution of you image will significantly increase the size of your report too.
Where possible you should use the lowest resolution that you can.

The bit size of your BMP image will also make a difference, try using 255color rather than 24bit.

Try resizing the image to fit the size of the location on the report rather than having a large image and resizing inside crystal.

If you are unable to make the image any smaller then unfortunately you will need to accept that the final report may be quite large.
To my knowledge Crystal has always suffered from this.
