I am an independent consultant and do not have access to a BASIS Administrator to get a copy of SAPGUI. How can I get a copy of SAPGUI for Windows?
This software is business, not individual.

Hi Dan,
I'm afraid the answer is the same as for Derek.
There is no direct equivalent of SAP GUI for Windows available for Linux.
There is SAP GUI for Java.
Alternatively, you can use SAP GUI for HTML.
There is more information on all these here : https://www.sap.com/community/topic/gui.html
Over time, more and more functions will be available via ABAP Development Tools (ADT) - ie Eclipse-based, thus obviating the need for SAP GUI for Windows (since, clearly, this dev edition is not intended for productive use.)
Best wishes Julie.

I've been using the AS ABAP Netweaver using Eclipse for a few years and frankly I do return to my SAPGUI quite a bit not only for convenience but for agility, for example, using slicense on SAPGUI is much quicker than going through the loops just to renew my ASABAP license. Yes the Eclipse is a more modern and flexible IDE but I frankly cannot see it totally replacing SAPGUI (currently 7.60 and 7.70) anytime soon. Just my 2 cents.
