excel download

Hi experts,

I want to read an excel template from the server and fill the template with data in internal table and then download the excel to the local. Now i have finished a demo that create the excel from internal table and download it to the local. But i don't know how to read an excel template and fill the data in internal table.

Pls help me.

    Hi ,

    In the component wdr_test_events check the view file download and follow the methods to read the excel file to internal table if still unclear i can send u some sample code to do it...

      I have studied the component wdr_test_events/filedownload, but it's only a simple demo for write data in .txt file. What i really want to know is that how to read a excel template(i have uploaded it to server using tcode smw0) from the server and then fill the corresponding cells with the data in internal table.

      Hope you send me some sample code.
