  • Can we have additional information on the business use case that you are trying to achieve

  • Hello Prasanth,

Actually we implemented C4C 3 yrs back and now we are extending this C4C solution to their other divisions. In that new division users are started using C4C with Outlook integration scenarios. Some of the users raising concern that their personal/ official outlook emails (around 20 mails in one shot - this is based on time stamp we have seen in C4C) are replicated to C4C without their knowledge. So we want to know first is it possible to replicate emails in bulk to C4C? If yes what is the steps to do that and how to disable this feature through configuration?

    Hope this info will help.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Murugesan.

    HI Murgesan,

Yes, multiple emails can be synchronized to C4C system by drag and drop functionality, select multiple emails in Outlook and drop to respective Opportunity, Lead etc. in Outlook side Panel. You can restrict the email synchronization via business actions in Business Role.

In Microsoft Silverlight user interface to set up access restriction for Outlook Integration in your system. Please follow the below steps:

1.Go to the Application and User Management work center.

2.Go to the Business Roles view.

3.You can Add a new Business Role or edit an existing one (for the users that you want to apply).

4.Then go to Fields & Actions tab.

5.Under Business Action Restrictions, you should Add the Rows for GW_EMAIL_UPLOAD and disable the action.

    6.Save the Business Role.

    Regards
    Praveen
