Find record using "....*" issue

Dear Experts,

Based on my understanding, user can find records in document by typing initial letter then followed by *. System will list out all the records that started with that letter. No matter if user type the initial number in Uppercase or lowercase.

In my case, user tried to find a record. So let say, he type the initial number as :gt* and click find..all the record started with gt will be listed.

However, if he type GT*, and click find, system will be buffered for a long time, and all list documents inside the system will be appear on the list.

My concern is, is this a bug? We are using SAP Version 9.2 PL8.

Kindly advice. If is this a bug, we will forward this to SAP
