    Hello Madhav,

For a productive account, if you have custom identity provider configured they should be able to register to developer portal.

For trial account, they have to be SCN user.

For Custom identity provider you mean corporate IDP ?

Because if you have open domain end consumer(gmail, other company domain) how can we engage through comon IDP. Also if we configure IDP at SCP level..is it not possible they can login to SCP Cockpit and access/view other services.

Also, I have observed when SAP APIM Admin try to add developer user it asked for ID ? what would be this ID in case of custom IDP.

    Hello Mayank,

Once you have Developer portal you can do the following.

    1)Can register yourself(triggering different workflows).

    2)Discover products (read documentation, …).

    3)Test API proxies.

4)Subscribe to products by creating and Application (and get an API Key).

5)Use this Key (if required) to access the API Proxies

      Thanks Shilpa,

My question is if my end cosumer is non-SAP (i.e. they do not have SAP Cloud or SCN ID for them) ...they of any public domain user.

How they can login to developer portal because for register a user either by Amin or login by themselves they need S-ID or P-ID.

Can we abstract end user from creation of S/P user id? Are these ids under SAP database too?

    @flair moda,

We have a requirement in S/4 Cloud. Need to create a custom API since we are not able to find a standard one for achieving the functionality. Is it possible to create a custom API in S/4 hana cloud? Could you please share some link or document regarding same? Or if custom API creation is not possible, what is the next recommended method to achieve this? Am a newbie to this I couldn't find a proper answer after searching all over internet.

    • Dear Johann,

Can you please expand a little bit on the requirement you have in a new question on the forums? Typically it is difficult to follow sub-generated questions embedded within others questions.

To get you started, in general with SaaS offering like S4HC it is not possible for you to generate APIs directly within the product. However S4HC has an in-app extensibility foundation that may meet your needs. Let's talk more in the question you submit within the community.

Please create a new question using S/4 as the Primary Tag and the newly introduce API topic (secondary) tag to categorize your question appropriately.

      Regards,
      Elijah
