Connection from SAP Cloud System ( C4C) to SAP PI ( On Premise)

Hello All,

I have a requirement to connect Cloud system to On premise ERP via SAP PI.

I would like to know what are the network related activities to be carried out to have a successful connection from cloud to on premise SAP PI.

I have heard that Hana Cloud Connector and Reverse Proxy.

1.Is Hana cloud connector or Reverse Proxy is mandatory for cloud to on premise connectivity?

2.Is Hana cloud Connector is used to connect cloud system to SAP PI Or is it used only when SAP HCI /CPI is used as middleware?

Hi Tibin,

1. From C4C to PI : You need to whitelist all the C4C related IP's in your reverse proxy/firewall and you need to configure the external IP's/Ports or Webdispatcher or PI Url this is something depending on your client infrastructure.

2.The connection between PI and ERP is done usually with IDOC/RFC/Proxy whatever implementation you need. You don't need HCC here.
