? about Copy of Portal from 32-bit to 64-bit hardware/software

hi,

We have an existing 32-bit NW 7.0 portal installed on RHEL 4.x linux server (including 32-bit oracle 10g database). We are installing a new one using 64-bit NW 7.0 from scratch on a 64-bit RHEL 4.x linux VM Ware server with an additional server for the 64-bit oracle 10g database.

We wish to have the identical content on the 32-bit server on the 64-bit server. Some ideas that come to mind are:

1. Export from 32-bit Oracle 10g to 64-bit Oracle 10g database

2. Copy the J2EE filesystem, /usr/sap/<SID>/j2ee/cluster, on the 32-bit portal to the 64-bit portal.

We will be running a 64-bit JDK on the 64-bit system. Are there other issues to consider?

Sincerely,

Steven
