Hi there,

We have NetWeaver with Portal 7.0 on SP14 level. I want install Additional usage type BI-JAVA to EP 7.0, I am following this note: 883948, but they haven't specified what I need to have in the trans/EPS/in folder?

Currently I have SP14 BI-JAVA in the EPS/in folder, where as I downloaed as a stack and placed in the EPS/in folder with XML File?

Or Do I put the Java Installation file (51032257) in there?

Can you please advice?

Thanks

Kumar

I read through 2 SAP Notes and Installation guide. I am telling you conclusion in here...

Here is something different.

Since my EP 7.0 was an upgrade from EP 6.0

Part of the Upgrade, SAP installed BI-IBC SP 14 and BIWEBAPP SP14.

Now I need to install:

|BIBASES*_.SCA |BI BASE SERVICES 7.00 (SP <current version>)

|BIREPPLAN*_.SCA |BI REPORTING AND PLANNING 7.00

|BIWDALV*_.SCA |BI WEBDYNPRO ALV 7.00

|VCKITBI*_.SCA |VCKITBI

Can this be done as BI-JAVA Usage type?

Thanks

Hi Kumar,

First check whether BI-JAVA component is present in your system or not.By going to https://loaclahost:5xx00

then check system configuration use administrator id and password.IF you find the component BI-JAVA here then you can go ahead with pasting the files related to java.If still your system has the old component then paste the packages corresponding to it.

Any how you are uploading the stack right first upload the jspm then upload the other packages.JSPM will take care of everthing you need not worry,If the component is not added in your system it will not be uploaded.

Reward points if helpfull.

Hi Kumar,

I think you want to add the component BI-JAVA right?

If this then first you have to add the component BI-JAVA using the JSPM.To do this if your system is add-in java instaalation then you have to paste the .sca file for BI-JAVA component in eps/in of trans. Then start the jspm and select the component installation and go ahead then install the support package for this component.

Thanks for your quick reponse Vamshi.

That is correct I want install BI-JAVA

I do understand that I need to use JSPM to install this Additional usage type. I am not quite sure what files I need put in the EPS/in folder? can I download the current SP14 sp-stacks and put? or I have use the Java installation CD SR2, which has SP09 and put the UT files in EPS/in folder and then use the JSPM to install it?

What files I need put in the EPS/in folder is the question for me?

1My system has only NetWeaver Java, EP and EP Core currently. It is not Java-Add-in, only goes ABAP systems correct

Thanks

Kumar

Vamshi,

When I try do this through JSPM with SP14 in the EPS/in folder, I get this message:

"There are no applicable usages described in the selected stack definition file for installation"

Hi Kumar,

So you dont have the component in your EP system right.

Now you want to add this component.Okay you can download the stack with BI-JAVA that is not a problem. But until and unless you dont have the component jspm will not detect the package even if you put them in the EPS/in.

Okay if you have stand alone java sytem even then you can paste the files in usr/sap/trans/eps/in.

Then start the JSPM.

Vamshi.
