Adding NEW Parallel currency for NEW company code

Our current setup does not use Group currency. There is only company code currency. We are thinking of adding a new parallel currency (group currency) to the new company code only. We do not intent to add it to existing company codes in the countries.

We have read OSS note 39919, which talks about activating new parallel currency for entire country, which is different from our situation.

Does anyone know any other impacts to be aware of? Thanks!

I remembered i answer this question before but cannot find the question anymore. i guess it has been deleted.

Yes, you can only add additional currency to the company code if there is no plan and actual data posted to that company code (E.g Company Code 1000). By adding additional currency to company code 1000 will not have impact to other company code because it is at company code level.
