Hello Expert,

Our business want to block the PGI if the HUs are not done for all the items in the outbound delivery. Because sometimes when HU is only partially finished, workers posted the PGI by mis operation.

Are there SAP standard configuration to have this function, or I have to ask developer to implement the enhancement? Thanks in advance. Regards, Yongbo

Execute VLPP, select your item category and set "A" under Packing control.

Thanks Lakshmipathi. This is quite helpful. "A" means "Must be packed". But do you know how to limit only to certain plant? That is, for Plant A, I need the function; for Plant B, I don't need the function. Can you please kindly give more support?

Thanks & Regards, Yongbo.

In that case, two options are available

  • First option is straight configuration - Have a different item category for either of the plant and the users can insert manually in sale order, so that, system would allow to do PGI without this validation. On the other hand, if it is vice-versa, that is, if the packing validation should happen automatically without users changing the item category, then, you set the manual item category for the other plant where validation should not happen. Most importantly, in both the cases, users who create the sale order should take care of this manual change.
  • Second option is automated via USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_LIKP (include MV50AFZ1)
