ABAP Program error, OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED, CL_CHIP_CATALOG_CACHE=========CP

Hello every body,

i encountered the following situation while trying to upgrade the SAP UI 740 to SAP UI751:

Problem: Short-Dump with the specifications:

Category: ABAP Programming Error

Runtime Errors: OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED

Exception: CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL

ABAP Progran: CL_CHIP_CATALOG_CACHE=========CP

Application Component: BC-WD-ABA-PB

The Program was executed by a standard Job "RDDEXECU".

In the trace file of the work-process I can see the following additional information:

I would appreciate if any one else also experienced the same situation and perhaps ready to share some tip on how to resolve the issue. Or someone might have an idea on how to deal with such problems.

The trace file information of the work-process was not attached unfortunately and i would add the information below:

- OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED

- Source CL_CHIP_CATALOG_CACHE=========CM00E Line 24.

- Error Code OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED. (highlighted in red)

- Module $Id: //bas/749_STACK/src/krn/abap/runt/abmethod.c#1 $ SAP.

- Function ab_jclom Line 7029.

Hi Lakshmipathi,

thank you for your answer. But the note you provided me with deals with a different issue than i have. My issue is a dump that is created and the tool (SAINT) being aborted due to the dump. I was upgrading SAP UI 740 Component on a NW 7.4 to a new version of the same to Version UI 7.51.
