How Can I Delete last loaded Delta Request from a Cube or DSO Automatically.

Hello Experts,

How Can I Delete last loaded Delta Request from a Cube or DSO Automatically through process chain.

Requirement is user is placing flat file in a location for every month.

process chain will load data from a flat file,User will check the report.

If report is not correct user will place another file ,then need to delete last delta request and need to load it again."Delete Overlapping request" step work only for Full request and only for cube,so it can not be the solution.

How Can I delete delta request from DSO and Cube automatically through process chain.

Thanks,

Ipsita

    Hi Ipsita

From your statement, I assume its a Standard DSO and delta's are generated here for Infocube.

In this case can it be an option to replace the Standard DSO with WO DSO if "Request wise" delta can do the needful ?

    Regards

    • Hi Ipsita

Based on provided facts,I can think of following solution

      1) Enhance the DSO with a field as Custom request ID

      2) Populate the request ID with the request ID in the start routine of transformations with the request Id of current load

      3) Create a Ring/Self load transformation to populate just "0RECORDMODE" as "D".

      4) Create a DTP for Ring/Self load with a routine in DTP on custom request id to find the last loaded request

      5) Put DTP for ring load after the step of data deletion from infocube and before new load from flat file

I think you will get deltas from these deletion images for Infocube which further has to be cleaned up.

However can you please explain why you want to delete the data from Standard DSO as it will anyhow generate delta when the correct data is loaded for infocube and reporting layer.

      Thanks & Regards

    Hello Experts,

I think, by using the Tcode "DELETE_FACTS, we can do it.

    Do anyone have any suggestion.

    Thanks,
