Dear Somu,

Batch split means Dividing the customer required quantity in to two or more batches based on the availability.

Example:-

Customer asked one material100 qty which is relevent for batch management, but we are having stock 110 qty that is in two batches 70 qty is having batch 'A' and remaining 40 qty having batch 'B',so in this situation we need to mention quatity you are picking with batch in the delivery.

here we need to divide the total customer required qty in to two batches that is 70 qty is Batch 'A' and 30 qty is batch 'B' this is called Batch split in the batch management.

Hi,

Batch split generally used in Pharma sector. In pharam, goods will be produced in batch wise and each batch has unique batch numerb and even have shelf expiry date and maufacture date.

In SD when customer gives order for 100 qunity but it is mainitaiend in batches then you will take order in quatnity then once u take the order you will go for batch split that means it will show no of batches for 100 quntity.

This whole process will be done through Batch management.

Hi...

Suppose u have 3 batches of a material

batch 001 -

---

100 qty

batch 002 -

---

200 qty

batch 003 -

---

300 qty

and customer ordered Qty 450

then in delivery u need 450 so system will pick 100qty frm batch 001, 200 qty frm batch 002 and 150 qty from batch 003 so u have 450 qty which can be delivred

btach split can only be done if u have batch management at Delivery item level and not when it is activated at Seal order tiem category level.

also note that u can have only one --- order itm category or delivery tim category
