Dear All,

I have a requirement that I want to increase the font size of the classical report output .I have made a z copy of the report ME49 .

I am executing my classical report : ZME49_NEW and getting the output on screen and the fonts of the text printed on screen are fine .

But when I take the print of the report output .After printing the fonts are very small in size .

Can anybody suggest me some workaround or ideas to change the font size of the output which I am getting through printer on a4 sheet .

I have used the below line-size and line-count .

REPORT ZME49_ME49 NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING LINE-SIZE 1023

LINE-COUNT 1023 .

Please suggest some ideas for method to increase the fonts size .

Regards

Deep

If you read the documentation, you will understand quickly that LINE-COUNT is not related to your issue.

If you defined LINE-SIZE 1023, it means that your report output is VERY wide, so it's normal that it prints with small characters so that the paper can contain all these 1023 characters (actually, it's limited to approximately 200 characters, otherwise the characters would be too small to be read).

Your question is related to transaction SPAD: cf "format types", "device types" and "actions" for each given couple of format type/device type (hexadecimal code sent to the printer to define the font size).

Dear Sandra Rossi ,

I have reduced the LINE-SIZE 1023 to LINE-SIZE 200 but still the issue is same .I am getting very small fonts in the output which I am getting through printer .

Can the font size can be increased if I define a format in SPAD to take the print .

Can PRINT CONTROL would work to increase the font size of the text of the classical report output .

Please suggest some ideas or work around to increase the font size of the classical report output .

So your report width is exactly 200 ? Anyway, what I said is that it can print only around 200 characters maximum, so 200 or 1023 will be the same size, above 200 the extra characters will not be printed of course.

Yes the font size can be increased if you define a format in SPAD. You must do it for every device type. You need to learn (partially of course) the languages of every device type, or just try "randomly".

Yes you may enhance the standard report with the ABAP statement PRINT-CONTROL if you want. It's the same kind of logic as with format types in SPAD (to define for every device type). SPAD is more simple.

Please search the web and the SAP Library, it's something complex to do.

Dear Sandra Rossi ,

Thanks for your valuable reply .

As you said that font size can be increased if you define a format in SPAD.

So, Please suggest how to create a format in SPAD .

Or is there any other way to increase the font.
