We are using the CommonFilter in web application to get all the request and response. But Getting a null value when making a call for HttpServletRequest.getSession(false) and user id (getRemoteUser()). This causes the error Couldn't Open the app and unable to load our SAPUI5 application .

If we are facing the above issue since we are using the normal servlet ajax call, Please let us know how to use the spring control in SAPUI5 Web applications for servlet calls or Tell us how to access the login user id in Web applications.

Hi Muralidhar Moturu,

You can use the storage api in SAPUI5 for sessions. Go through the foll. link in the demokit :

https://sapui5.hana.ondemand.com/#/api/jQuery.sap.storage

Hi Arjun Biswas ,

Thankyou for your suggestion on using SAP storage API. But we are not interested in using JQuery storage for session maintenance as it stores the data on the client.

So please suggest any Java side methods for getting current user login information and getting maintained session which is not null when calling HttpServletRequest.getSession(false).

Muralidhar

Hi Muralidhar Moturu,

Sorry, I dont have much idea on Java methods for storing session. But if you are using a servlet, then you have to some how send your data from your SAPUI5 app to the servlet.
