Hello all,
What is meant by "Technical Date of Entry" & "Tech Date of Birth".How it is different than our regular Date of Birth ?
The Date specification configuration also has "Date Indicator"what is the utility of that and do we need it in Indian Scenario?
Thanks for help
Techinical Date of Entry is something related to IT16 I suppose, "Date of entry into the Company".
will update soon on Tech Date of Birth and Normal Date of Birth.

Hi,
Date Specifications (Info type 0041). The following information is recorded in the Date Specifications info type (0041). The Date type specifies the type of information. A concrete Date type (specified by the user) is used in a series of reports, for example to evaluate an entry date that cannot be derived from the organizational assignment history but which is stored in the Date Specifications info type(0041). This info type can be used in payroll as well as for the leave program. The standard system contains twelve combinations of Date type and Date. If you require more than twelve date specifications for an employee at the same time, you can use time constraint 3.
Hope it clarifies your questions.
Thanks
Swati
Hi,
Date Specification is an infotype which is 0041 and can have the dates like the hire date,Compensation Adj Date, recent hire date,Termination date etc.
There is a feature which is DATAR you can go to PE03 and give DATAR and the return value here will reflect in the IT0041.
Any further clarifications please let me know.
Thanks
Swati.

Hi New to SAP,
How to maintain IT0041 Date type is up to HR. Even the date type has same description, but the date might has the different meaning in different companies. So, if "Technical Date..." has being maintained by HR, you need check with them to understand what the meaning of that date type. If they want use new date type for other purpose, you need discuss with them in terms of adding new date type and description or using existing one.
Regards,
Jim
