Not able to access old messages in production PI server, get a spinner for many minutes

Hi Friends,

When I am trying to access old messages in production PI server, it still loads forever and eventually I get a blank screen. It is now happening for messages that are 1 week old and even one day old.It is not throwing any error message.This is preventing us from troubleshooting.

Initially we thought it is because of number of database reads and unneccessary database access and installed service pack 14, but still facing the same issue.

We are on PI7.4

Please could anyone share your thoughts on this.

Hi Pushpa,

You migh require a DB reorganisation. Check with your DBA

1.- If you have several messages to expire and delete them, use carefully this tool: http://<host>:<port>/MessagingSystem/job/reorgdb.jsp

2.- Check your retention period and archiving jobs: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/872388
