Filter on SCM Operator on Group operator

Hi Experts,

To enable region-wise planning, we have provided users the Group operator functionality so that they do not have to execute all the included operators step by step. However, some of the Group operators have SCM operator included in them. As such to avoid interference during planning we need to set filters. However, to my knowledge, S&OP heuristics only identify planning scope as its filter.

If we set a filter on group operator with Planning Units, will it allow the group operator to execute on the defined planning scope? If no, please advice me on the alternative.

Regards,
Sourojit

Hello Sourojit,

It's not possible to use Filters on Group operators if SCM operators are involved. This is already in Development team's backlog and it should be fixed in future releases - no planned dates yet.

The workaround would be adding Filters to each of the operators involved in the Group operator, instead of adding one Filter for the whole Group operator.

Best regards,
Matheus

Hi Matheus,

"The workaround would be adding Filters to each of the operators involved in the Group operator, instead of adding one Filter for the whole Group operator." - Doe this means that you are proposing the utilization of Application Job templates instead of Group operators? How can the individual operators in group operator be attachd with a filter?

Hi Sourojit,

Yes, you can use Application Job Templates with several steps instead of Group operators.
