Hi Everyone,

I am working on a requirement in which I need to create a ETL job which will read data from Excel files and store it in database and another excel files(with different structure).

Server on which these excel files are present and targeted is in country X (i.e. source and target is in country X) and BODS application server is hosted in country Y. due to regulatory requirement, Data should not be taken out of country X.

I am being asked if the BODS server which is in country Y will copy the data (cache, in-flight or physical) to the BODS server while processing? and how the data is encrypted while processing from source and target locations?

I hope my question is clear to everyone.

Regards

H Dhawan

Hi H Dhawan,

If possible can you elaborate it in more detail?

As per my assumption BODS server which is in country Y will copy the data (cache, in-flight or physical) from X using encryption and load the data to the target database table which is in Y, is it correct?

All file data will be copied to the DS server. It will be kept in memory temporarily.
