cProjects and Easy Cost Planning

Former Member

Hello!

We are currently working on cProjects 4.5 (with SAP portal EP7 and SAP ERP ECC6). We also use the costing integration functionality, linked to WBS-E. Everything works well, except one thing: we would like to follow-up in SAP ERP who has changed the cost estimates, unfortunately only the techical communication user between the 2 systems (SAP PPM and SAP ERP) is written in the tables.

So we wonder if it's possible to enhance the ECP tables in ERP, and to populate this field with the current user during the interface cProjets->ECP. We already tried some BADIs without any result. If someone has some inputs regarding this, thanks for sharing.

Best Regards,

Matthias

Hi

If Im not wrong you have two systems...1 for ECC and other for cProjects...

May be when you are maintaining the RFC you can deactivate Remote User...

Plz explain your problem a bit more detail....

I agree it could be a technical possibiliy, but we don't want to use the current user ID for the RFC connection, it would give too much authorizations to the end-users. That's why we would prefer just to send the information and populate the ECP table in an additional (or unused) field. The question is: can we update the ECP fields as we want? The BADIs we found let us only change the calculation fields.

Hi

No thats not right... When you use ALE REMOTE then in that case you give lot of authorizations as ALE REMOTE is system user and has all authorizations...

However if you use, current user, he has only those authorizations which he has in Backend...

Let me know if it helps

P.S. Award points if info helps

Hi Matthias ,

The cProject & PS integration is realized via RFC (remote function call), so that the original user-id is lost, as as the RFC is called, the remote USER_ ID is used.

From technical view, if you would like have such functionality, two points have to be filled:

1. The orginal User-ID has to be passed to the ERP system.

>> it may be possible to use a user-field.

2. There must be Badi in ERP system to enable you change the sy-uname.

>> I donot think, such Badi exists.

Summerized, I donot think, such functionality can be realized in standard.

Kind regards,

Zhenbo
