BPC or IP

Hi Guru:

We are trying to decide which tool to use for our new planning application.

SAP keeps on telling us to use BPC as we are a new project, but we were a BPS customer and we looked IP closely too. Actually IP is pretty good and match most of our requirement.

For BPC, we have some questions:

1) Master data: need we reload the master data to BPC to get the F4 help, etc?

2) Retraction: How to do retraction?

3) Characteristic relationship: Our old planning application rely on this, does BPC provide the similar function?

4) Distribution: We need top down distribution with reference data, like our actual data, does BPC support this, like reference to another cube?
