Hello,
Whilst we use a date filter on a prompt on our HANA database, we encounter the following error:
"The following database error occurred: SAP DBTech JDBC: [266] (at 1293): inconsistent datatype 01/07/2017 is not a DATE type const: line 17 col 66 (at pos 1293). For information about this error, please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2054721 on the SAP Support Portal. (IES 10901) (Error: INF)"

FYI, changing the format of the DATE does not solve the problem

Thanks to help on this issue,

Sameerah,
I would suggest you to validate your Data source may be calculation views. I assume you created the universe in top of a view. Looking at the error message your HANA view in turn calls a function where the type casting is not happening properly.
Thanks
Mani

I am not sure if this will help - looks like this error has appeared before, and this person changed the format of their date to YYYY-MM-DD - see https://blogs.sap.com/2014/03/21/inconsistent-datatype-date-type-from-filtering/
