/AFS/BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA Internal or External

Hi All ,

Is it possible to create AFS Material with /AFS/BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA for both Internal and External Number Asssignment .....

The first step in Documentation explains as below ..

When creating new material master data, you must specify the material number, the material type and the industry. You also must enter a short text and the language of that text. When changing data, the material number suffices.

Plz suggest me on this....

From the Documentation, i could infer its for External only.

yes you can use it for internal numbers, but for that you have to use bapi_material_getintnumber to get a material number. Pass the output of that to bapi_material_savedata.
