I think you have to work the other way round keep the EA as the base unit of measure and then keep the Lt as alternate unit of measure.

Since most of the activites can be done only on the base unit of measure..

i am also eager to see if anyone can give solution for you ..

      Hello Pravin

please note that material valuation willtake place only with Base unit of measure and so the system will allow you to create PIR with alternate UOM. but u can use alternate UOM for confirmation. even then material documents will be created only with Base UOM.

what isthe real issue in creating the PIR in BAse UOM?

as you know the alternate unit and the ratio

      for example 1 Litre = 1 EA.

so create the PIR in proportion to your EA requirement.

and while confirmation you can carry out with Alternate UOM that is EA.

but before that you have to ensure you maintain altenate UOM and production UOM in Material master and in ROuting header enter the requried UOM for lot size

      Hope this helps

    Hi,

I think in Md61 u can plan only for base unit of measure.

However u can see the alternative unit (prod unit ) of measure at MD04 & MMBE.

System will give planned qty based on coversion factor at materual master.

    Hi pravin

You cannot change base unit of measure for MRP. But you can change the unit of issue. For this go Work scheduling view and give unit of issue and conversion factor.

Choose EA as base unit of measure and use liter as unit of issue.
