Searching in the Influence site

Hello, Kuhan Milroy, here's another one.

I want to search for "refresh" within the WebI project.

I know there's no way to do that directly, so I searched for "refresh" in the search bar.

This brings me to a search for "refresh" in "All Opportunities", so I click on "All Improvement Requests".

As expected, I'm looking at all submissions that contain the word "refresh" (a very big list); now I want to limit it to the WebI session.

I scroll down to "More Filters", but the button doesn't do anything. It appears that there's something hiding under the footer, but I can't access it.

(I tried this in Chrome and Firefox, and got the same result)

(I tried to attach a screenshot, but the picture uploader is just hanging on me).

So I figure I'll just export the list and go through it. I click "Select All", then "Export".

I get a message that a link is being emailed to me. Not sure why it won't just display the link, but ok, I wait for the email...

Get the email and click on the link. It downloads an Excel file (in '97 format), but it contains only a single record. I Export again, ensuring that all records really were selected, but the file again only has a single record.

So, I'm unable to get a list of submissions in the WebI project that contain the word "refresh".

    Joe - Kuhan told us on an ASUG webcast to submit issues to influence.sap.com/feedback - I would post this discussion there.

    Hi Joe,

    First, we have a big search update coming in December. With the ability to search within a campaign and have more intuitive behaviours.

    In the mean time I am checking on the other issues you've raised.

    One solution you can do is go to the session first and then export from there. So instead of doing all IRs with 'refresh' , do all IRs from WebI. However, the export failed (possibly too many ideas), so I tried filtering by status first then exporting and it seemed to work fine.

    Yes, I know not the greatest solution but it should work for now, until we get the search updates complete.
