BEx Query Designer problem when generate URL to IE

Hi All,

I have BI 7.0 with BEx Query Designer 7.x.

When I execute a query, normally it will call browser and display the result. It works normally with BEx 3.x but not in 7.x.

The URL become like this:

http:///irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.s...

The hostname and port disappeared! What should I set to let it display normally in the browser?

I already add value to icm/host_name_full in Instance Profile.

Used NWA Deploy wizard to configure the system and the problem solved.

Check with your basis team, whether JavaStack is imported or not. BI7.0 Supports portal,javastack should be there.

Thank you for your information. I installed NW04s SP2. I think the latest support package has not install yet. Should the system install with latest support package?

Here are some details..

If Installing 710 SAPgui make sure following components are available, in the

windows Operating System and uninstall the previous version .

Machine should be having Windows XP professional OS

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (Mandatory )

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 HOTFIX (KB928366) (Mandatory )

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 (Recommended)

Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1(Recommended)

Microsoft .Office Professional Edition 2003 . (for Bex Installation)

Machine should be having 512 MB RAM .

There is some problem with GUI latest patches and .Net versions to be installed in sequence.office 2003 support packs

better check the notes for this issue..

People have different views regarding the same.
