Generic Delta using Timestamp

I am creating a generic datasource using Timestamp to determine the delta. This is for master data and it is going to a custom InfoObject. In the source table, the timestamp is in there. Do I also need for the timestamp field to be part of my custom InfoObject?

Thanks,

    Hi,

no you don't need the timestamp in the InfoObject if you only need the actual state of the masterdata.

If you want to track the changes you will have to switch the attributes regarded to time dependent attributes in the InfoObject and you will have to create the validity ranges from your timestamps.

    Hope that helps

    regards

    Christoph
