Route Determination

Hi Guys,

Can I know the configurations to be maintained in route determination. I did a search in the forum but did not get proper details. If you have some document or screen shots, it will be of great help to me.

Hi

1. define transportation zones and dep zones

2. Define the ship cond and assign it in customer master.

3. Define transportation grp and assign in material master.

4. Define the route in table TROLZ, for transp zone, ship zone, dep zone, transp zone and weight grp.

Route can be determined in sales order with the help of 5 parameters: depart country, shipping conditions in customer master record, transportation group in material master, destination country, and weight group.

Weight group plays a vital role. The purpose of route detrmination is like in scenario's where company will ship goods to the customer in various ways not only that it has optional of having n number of routes select the best one & based on his customer priority (time & money.) for sending samples company will go for air, for delivering ordered goods it can go for different mode of transportation & routes.

Configuration part:

Define mode of transportation

Define shipping types.

Assign shipping types to mode of transportation.

Define transportation legs.

Define route here normally we maintain data like whose is arranging transportation, transit time, distance of the route, transportation planning time.

After that maintain stages in the route, by using transportation legs here we need to define whether load transfer, cross border or transportation is carrying out between stages.

Define weight in group as per requirement.

You need to settings under SPRO > S&D > Basic Functions > Routes

Departure Zone (Departure Country) + Shipping Condition + Transportation Group + Receiving Zone (Receiving Country) = Route Determination

Menupath:

SPRO --> Logistics Execution --> Shipping --> Basic Shipping Functions --> Routes --> Route Determination --> Maintain Route Determination

Go through this IMG path do the configuration

IMG>Logistics Execution>Shipping>Basic shipping functions>Routes-->Define routes.

here you can difine

1.Mode of transport

2.Shipment types

3.Routes.

4.Transportation connection points

IMG>Logistics Execution>Shipping>Basic shipping functions>Routes-->Routes dtermination.

here you need to define

1.Transportation zones

2.Maintain country and Transportation zone for shipping point

3.Transportation group

4.Weight group.

5.Maintain Route Dtermination:- Here you need to eneter data related to Country of depature,Depature zone,Destination country and recovery Zone

After enter the above detailes select that line then click on Route dtermination without weight group or Route dtermination with weight group

-->You enter Transportation zone data in the customer master

-->Maintain the Transportation group and weight group in the Material master.

-->Maintain the shipping conditionds in the Customer master

Now you create the sales order with that customer and material system will determine the route according to the configuration.
