Patch Level 20 and 05

Hi,

Now i used sap b1 2005 p/l 05 . Its accept the sql server authentication.

now i am using sap b1 2005 p/l 20 . its will give some problem . its have database (table creation ) , xl reporter problem . so that. i want to know ..

1. What is the different between P/L 20 and P/L 05.

2. What is the Advantages and Disadvantages in P/L 20

and P/L 05.

Hi Madhu

There might be 2 reasons to the this issue.

1) The DI API version is not suitable. Please try to upgrade the DI API to PL20. (in most cases the DI API is upgraded automatically but in case it didn't...)

2) DB upgrade failed.

If upgading the DI API didn't help or it is DB upgraed failure than I would recommand you to use the right channel for such questions - the Service Marketplace http://service.sap.com/.

Please post it there.

The difference between the patches is that patch level 20 contains bug fixes that have been done after patch level 5 have been released.

You can find the full list of bugs that were fixed in the info file provided with any patch level. (in the left side of the file you can find the patch level)

In order to view the info file you need ot go to the market place - download area click on the link that opens the info file and view the fixes done between PL5 & PL20.
