Excel 2013 EPM Add-in not working

Hi Gurus,

We're using SAP BPC 10.1 and EPM Add-in Sp25 patch 3 on Excel 2013. It is working fine before. But after our company pushes a Skype for Business basic 2016 installation on our workstations the EPM add-in is not working anymore. It seems there's a conflict with active x controls.

Thanks,

Bennie Jay

HI Bennie,

Its not allowing me to comment so replying through answer......If you think Skype is causing the problems then you can certainly check it by uninstalling...but I personally feel it should not be the case as I have the same setup with Skype for business 2016,Excel 2013 installed but BPC 10 NW not 10.1! It works perfectly...:) Not sure what the actual reason could be....

Hi Bennie,

As JP mentioned this is probably due to a Microsoft issue.

See this link to resolve it: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/3025036

Hi Benny Jay,

if you try to open it from a bpf is able to create a dynamic connection? It works?

Have you tried to unistall and reinstall epm add-in?

Hi Roberto,

No it won't create dynamic connections from the BPF. Yes, we've tried uninstall and reinstall epm add-in.

Thanks,

Hi Bennie,

IS the EPM Add-in currently disabled? Are the EPM related functions not working? Show me the Add-Ins on the Excel.

Hi JP,

Yes the EPM Add-in is currently disabled. When we click on logon no log-in pop-ups. Please see below.

Bennie,

Are you opening the EPM Add-In from BPC web homepage link or from outside? EPM Add-in disabled meaning check in Excel Options whether EPM Add-In is seen in Excel Add-Ins or in Disabled Items. See below.

Hi JP,

We've tried opening it via web and Log On menu but it can't connect. No it's not disabled. Kindly see below.

Hi JP,

We're using SAP BPC 810 SP9 on BW 740 SP14. We're using Internet explorer 11.

Bennie...have checked for any recent Microsoft updates that may be causing this error?

Check this note 2107965 – Issues in EPM Add-In / BPC for Excel after installing Microsoft updates

Hi JP,

This should actually be a comment as opposed to an answer.

Hi JP,

After installing the update the issue still persist. We think this is a new issue because Skype for business 2016 is just a new installer.

Thanks,

Bennie
