How to get the datas from a database into the interactive forms and back ?

Im new in developing with SAP NDS (I can not program with ABAP- Just Java).

Can somebody explain me the basic steps in developing with Netweaver Developer Studio (Java) how i

get the datas from a database (on the WebAS) in an adobe interactive form and send this datas back to the database ?

Do i have to do this within Web dynpro applications ? or which other java solution

would be possible for this ?

Some links to some tutorials, which discuss this topic (connecting Adobe Interactive Forms with the Database) would be great!!
