Checking Account field in user creation window

Hi all

When you create a new user and password, in that window you have a button for user defaults, where this will open a new window,

and on that window you will find a field called Checking Account for entering a G/L Account. What is the purpose of this G/L account and why we need to enter here?

It defines the accounts for posting customer payments with check. If you don't specifie it here, the system uses from the G/L Account Determination: Sales Tab, General Tab .

Hi Istavan Koros,

Is that Checks Received under sales tab in G/L account determination? But the system already automatically given an account called Advance Payments Adj A/c. Can we also create another accout in parallel to this account and assin it to the user we are creating ?

Yes it is the Check Received account, and if you want for this user other default account for incoming check payment, you can define here.
