Hi there,
Today I saw a Functional Consultant presenting SAP Customer Checkout for Business One. He was telling all the functional stuff how does it work, How it handles this, how it handles that. One thing he said that it runs in browser and requires Integration framework to run and also it is developed in JAVA.
Now, I am wondering to know if somebody tell what are technologies of development behind it (Since only saying JAVA is not enough). How does it integrate with Integration framework? Is there any development guide for developing Its addons (as we can develop addons to customize the customer checkout).
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Noman Sajid.
Hi Noman Sajid,
SAP Customer Checkout will be implemented on POS Terminals or for example a windows tablet locally. There are possibilities to integrate to SAP Business One, SAP Business by Design, SAP ECC (Retail) and it can be integrated to SAP Customer Checkout manager.
It is developed in JAVA and JAVA Script. Of course you can extend the functionalities with Plugin and also using B1iF Extensions in case that SAP Business One is the backend.
Enclosed you can see a screenshot of the integration settings in SAP Customer Checkout, the integration is described in the documentation which can be found here:
SAP Customer Checkout FAQ: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2202185
SAP Customer Checkout Community: https://answers.sap.com/tags/67838200100800006251
SAP Partner Edge: https://partneredge.sap.com/en/products/scc/about.html
SAP Help: https://help.sap.com/viewer/p/SAP_CUSTOMER_CHECKOUT
Especially in the partneredge you are able to find guides for enhancements including examples and also the integration and configuration.
Hope that helps
kind regards
Stephan
