shceduleline determination

hi all,

i know that scheduleline category is determined based on item category and MRP tpye. if MRP tpye was not maintainted scheduleline category is determined based on only item category. is it possible that the scheduleline gets determined without item category. if so how....... please clarify..... ll be rewarded accordingly..

No Pawan a Schedule line cannot be determined with out the item category as it forms the basis of any item delivery. Even if you try missing on item category in sche line det., there can me many implications

Nope

Take this - a item category will tell u as if the item is a

Std. item ( Relavant for Dly) or Service item(Not relavant for dly)

and so on.

Hence if the is no defination regarding what type of item it is

how the system will know abt the delivery of the same.

Hi Pawan,

Item category defines what is the behavior of the item in the sales order. Hence wil it be externally procured or internally producted is decided by item category. Now all these things are needed to decide the material requirement planning of the that material. If externally procured to create the PR. Hence it is not at all possible to have schedule line determination without item category,
