EWA Reporting Incorrectly

Hi,

In Solution Manager 4.0 SPS12 we have EWA setup which has been providing us with reports for some time now. Even though we have now installed the latest patch kernel and we have also a new version of SAPOSCOL the EWA still fails telling us our kernel is not up to date.

Examples from Report:

7 SAP Kernel Release

Your SAP kernel release (Release 700, patch level) is not up to date.

As a result, you do not have the latest kernel patch level with the error corrections and improvements that SAP offers to its customers.

10 SAP OS Collector

SAPOSCOL data is insufficient to perform the hardware capacity checks in the SAP standard services. Check whether SAPOSCOL is active and stores data correctly (see SAP Note 189072).

Current SAPOSCOL Version

20.95

Min. Recommended SAPOSCOL Version

20.93

We are running kernel patch level 133 and as you can see above it is almost like it can't read the patch level correctly. Same with saposcol.

Any suggestions on how to get EWA to correctly see or report on this data ?

Many thanks.

Regards,

Nelis

Hi Nelis,

are you using ST-SER 700_2007_1?

Some known errors are fixed with this [SAP Note 1068944|http://www.service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1068944]

With availability of SAP Solution Manager 4.0 Stack 15, a new service content is available ST-SER 700_2008_1.

Best regards,

Ruediger

Hi Nelis,

We are currently seeing a similar issue; did the note fix the issue?

Thanks,

Hi Diego,

Yes it did.

I have also now updated SM to latest Support Package Stack 15 which is much better in respect to EWA and has additional checks for your satelite systems. For example, it has picked up a few Security issues which it never did check for before.

Nelis
