difference between WAS and SAP R/3

Hi Masters,

Its very confusing for me; I have installed WAS found in sdn as sneek preview for java 2004s or 7.0; now I want to develop mobile applications where in I require SAP log on pad to configue MI using some transactions code; what should I install next; complete SAP R/3; or only the front end or client for R/3; and where can i get it from. Can some one help me out in this regards.

Hi,

You have instalaled the WAS so now you required to download the SAP logon pad.

For MI system you have to download the patch for MI system.

You have take the patch for MI for ABAP + JAVA stack.

Apply through SPAM and JSPM resp..

Do the configuration for MI server and client.

Welcome to SDN!!

Now as you already have the WAS installed, you would need the SAPGUI to get the SAP Logn pad and to access the installed system. SAPGUI can be obtained from http://service.sap.com/swdc -> software download --> download --> Installations and upgrades --> Entry by applicationgroup --> SaP Front end components --> SAP GUI for Windows --> SAP GUI FOR WINDOWS 7.10 CORE --> Installation
