Hi,

I am currently migrating huge number of classical APs which take the restriction values from a repository procedure (where the user authorization is checked and appropriate values are fetched from a values table for the session user).

Currently I face a limitation in SAP HANA Studio using "Quick View -> Migrate -> Classical Analytic Privileges to SQL Analytic Privileges" that the migration gives the message in the log "Migration skipped: Analytic privilege contains a procedure in its restriction. Migrate manually."

Is there a workaround or fix for this? I have huge number of Classical APs to be migrated to SQL APs. Any quick help/suggestion is highly appreciated.

HANA Studio details: Current Version HANA 01 SPS12 (Version: 2.3.24)

Thanks,

Abdul

Unfortunately there is no workaround. As described in the documentation here, classic analytic privileges which uses a stored producedure for data restrictions cannot be migrated automatically. You have to exclude them from the automated migration and do it manually.

Hi Florian Pfeffer ,

Thanks for the quick reply. We have lot of classical APs (with procedure as restriction values) to be migrated to SQL APs. Could you please let us know if SAP can provide a solution for this in the next revision or SP ? Unfortunately, the manual activity requires a lot of effort for migration. Do you want me to raise a ticket to SAP to consider this as a feature request?

Thanks and regards,
Abdul
