Netweaver 7.5 upgrade, create InfoObject in RSA1 or RSD1

Hi There,

After upgrade to 7.5, system is not allow to create InfoObject using RSA1 or RSD1, it forces us to create InfoObject from BW modeler in Hana Studio.

Do you know if there is a way we can continue using RSA1/RSD1 to create InfoObject?

Please advise since we are not fully ready to switch over at this point.

Thanks

Joey

Just FYI, you can continue maintain InfoObject using RSD1 transaction, then type in 'nohdb' in command bar.

    Hi Joey,

According to this blog, it seems like they have completely turn off the option to create InfoObject in SAP GUI starting 7.5.

I don't think it's possible to use the old method unless you go deep within the SAP code and reroute it back to use the old way if they still left the old code.

It's just like the Master Data maintenance which they migrate over to webdynpro from SAP GUI starting 7.4.

Unless you can downgrade the version back, then you should learn using the new way.

I have not tried this but it might be worth a try ...

usually the older GUI layout is preserved in RSA1OLD. try going to RSA1OLD and creating your infoobject there.

    Hello Joey

After upgrading to SAP BW 7.50 SP04 on HANA or higher you are forced to use the BW-MT to edit your InfoObjects

    Hi all,

do I have to use the BW-MT in BW on any DB with BW 7.5 SP04 as well? Or is the info object maintenance in RSA1 still possible on any DB?

    Regards
