Hi Colleague
I have one question about batch determination and availability check. We will use item batch determination in sales order item for stock allocation. Batch is determined based on variant configuration value.
If batch is determined in sales order item, availability is carried out and stock is confirmed (i can see confirmed quantity in schedule line item)
But even if batch is not determined in sales order item, availability is carried out and stock is confirmed. I think that means the stocks are confirmed regardless of batch determination result.
For example, User wants to do delivery batch 1000 (with color 'Red') quantity 10
[Stock]
batch 1000 with color Red : Quantity 0
batch 2000 with color Blue: Quantity 10
In this case, the stock of batch 2000 with color Blue is confirmed in sales order and delivery order will be created against his/her intension (user want to delivery material color Red). When user hit batch determination button in sales order item and if batch is not determined, we don't want to do availability check because we don't want to delivery different color material to the customer.
Does anyone have any solution for this situation?
Regards,
Nozomi
Have a look at OSS note 182276 which explains how ATP will be carried out for batch stocks.

Hi Lakshmipathi,
Thanks for the response. I will check this note and test it in development system.
Hi Shiva,
Yes, batch determination is based on the variant configuration value but stock availability check is not based on the variant value in standard system behavior. This is the issue because if batch determination is not selected, another stock will be confirmed...
