Email Notification Solman 7.2 - Solution Documentation

Hi Experts,

We have Implemented Solman 7.2 SolDoc. We have setup different types of Document Types with Digital Signature for document Approvals.

Now we want to setup Email Notifications when document status changes.

When I send the Document for “ For Approval” Email should trigger to Approver. If there are Multiple Approvers, then after First Approval, email should trigger to 2nd Approval & so on.

Could you please advise how I can setup this. Is there any configuration for Email Notification in SolDoc for document types.

Hello,

I believe this is what you are looking for (BADI for Email trigger): https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2548823

There is basically no standard feature available for Digital Signature notifications.

A "classic" alternative would be to customize your own workflow with transaction SBWP.

Hi Alexandre,

Very helpful. I also came across note 2539465 - KW document signature - how to develop an own customer workflow to help build a workflow. However, in case you have also implemented an email workflow along with digital signature - how is the email recipient picked up - does one need to enter the recipient manually, from the responsible attribute for documentation or via Change management approval (as in the below diagram)
